Lemon Snowflake Cookies

26 Mar

Last night at Sunday dinner my brother was craving cookies. My mom whipped these together in minutes and we all got our cookie fix! These cookies are also commonly called lemon crinkles or lemon cake cookies. These are super easy, super quick and super scrumptious! A whopping three ingredients, how awesome is that?! Cake mix, cool whip and egg mixed, rolled into a ball and rolled in powdered sugar. They are a beautiful pairing of sweet and tangy. They melt in your mouth!

These are great cookies for spring with the refreshing lemon flavor! I like to make these for St. Patrick’s Day, just add a little food coloring while mixing to make these a bold, bright green! Festive and simple! These are also great for Christmas goodie trays. They are much less time consuming than most cookies and the sweet and tangy flavor is a nice break from the sugar overload from all of the sugar cookies and fudge!

You are not kidding when you said that these were easy to make! The look wonderful and adding food colouring to match the occasion is a great idea.

Yes, I’ve had great success with freezing them every Christmas when I make them for my goodie trays!
