Homemade Strawberry Lemonade {The Best Ever!}

Homemade Strawberry Lemonade

Even though the weather here in Iowa has been absolutely bi-polar lately with 85 degrees one day and 45 degrees the next day, I am totally loving Spring! We got our ridiculously large garden planted, have been working on home improvement projects around the house, and have been spending as much time as we possibly can outside! As soon as the weather starts to warm up, I immediately start craving all things healthy, light and refreshing! This homemade strawberry lemonade definitely fits the bill! So refreshing, so delicious, and only has a few simple ingredients! It really is the BEST strawberry lemonade I have ever had!

{BEST Ever} Homemade Strawberry Lemonade

1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled & halved

1 1/2 cups of fresh lemon juice (about 8 large lemons)

1 1/2 cups sugar (more or less to your taste)

8 cups water

Using a food processor or blender, puree your strawberries. With a fine mesh strainer, push strawberry puree through using a spatula to remove most of the seeds. In a pitcher combine water and sugar until sugar is completely dissolved. Add strawberry puree and lemon juice, stirring until well combined. Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slices and frozen strawberry slices if desired. Enjoy!
